abundant food for waking bee,
then twiggy roost for nesting Dove
sheltered from the storms above.
Summer green bears wind drop fruit
that carpet over gnarled root.
Autumn brings the bright berry
where Wax Wings feed with Chickadee
to strip and glean the apples red
from this world at garden’s edge.
